This work (for Observations specifically) was completed in Sept 2019. We are adding document viewing support to the Home app (i..e parents will be able to access educator-created documents) in the next 3-5 weeks which will come with notifications that are similar to the ones that currently exist for Observations.

Kate: We are targeting a mid-October release for the Documents in Home App body of work.

Families do recieve a notication when an observation is completed. Just depends on their settings as to whether they will see it or not.
