Single Sign On

Allow some sort of Single Sign On to Xplor for educators and parents. This will allow us to integrate better with other products and provide a smooth experience for parents (for example, we have a private website for parent resources, forms, policies etc – it would be great if they only needed one login, not two).

Need the ability to log in once and access all Xplor sites, whether Office and Playground etc... Problem for educators to log into t=2 seperate sites with 2 seperate email logins.

we have a few families that have attended other services and when we try to enter then into the system it is says that the information is already registered , where they have to create another email or use a different number to sign in and out or even enter a new child, I think it should be for just the service they are registered/attending as you may have some children attached other services that also use xplor.

for example, we also have a OOSH side to the services and some of the older children use the long day care and the OOSH but have to have different emails and contact numbers as their number or email ready exists. or a family has left a service and now using our service and cant register their information, email or mobile number because they ready exist!

do you mean for logging in? rather than having individual profiles to log things on?
AR
Manager: Instead of having separate emails/accounts for Admin/Educator/Parent/Xplorer, you have one account with permissions/profiles
M
Manager
AR: ah OK, thanks for explaining. I am not sure I like that idea. I think I would rather have separate accounts, less likely for one wrong bug to mess up every single persons day/account and for one click of an access button to give the wrong person access to things we don't want them to have access to. Sorry to be a nay sayer it just worries me :)
AR
Manager: You would rather that if a Parent is also an Educator, or where the Coordinator is also a Parent, they should have 2 or 3 (or 4 for Xplorers) separate profiles?
M
Manager
AR: yes to be honest, it keeps everything separate and mistakes are less likely

Thank you for your feedback. We will take all of this into account when we return to sign in and profiles as our focus.

Will - Xplor: We were told that Stargate was the focus at the beginning of the year. When was this decision reversed?

AR: I can't stress how much I disagree with this One login is very required the separation can come in after the log in. Best solution would be a single authentication and login point and then branch out into the multiple levels of access. I think a way to ensure people are very clear about the access level they are in would be to have a colour coded background on the screen that corresponds to the access level.
AR
Could this be merged with Stargate?
