Child Profile Merging

It would be helpful if duplicate profiles could be merged or deleted to avoid confusion during enrolment, and parents having multiple visible accounts on their home app. Alternatively a system that prevents the parent from being able to create the duplicate profile in the first place would be handy!

Warning when trying to create a new profile for exisiting child (avoid duplicate child profiles)
Someya CCSS Support
It would be great if there was a pop up warning you if you are creating a child profile that already exists (exact same child name and DOB)- to prompt you to check if the profile already exists at your Service and to help avoid unnecessary duplicated child profiles.

We are an OSHC service with many duplicate child profiles. Surely the enrolment section could be programmed to cross check key fields with existing profiles such as name, dob, parent's details etc and flag possible duplications.

And when merging profile occurs ALL ATTACHMENTS are successfully transferred and accessible.

Absolutely agree - if the parents could only have 1 file per child would be fantastic. I know we are not allowed to ever ever delete a file, but duplicate files are often a problem.

This needs to happen now, we have a waiting list for a parent who has since miscarried and are unable to remove the form which is sad as they still show when inactive!!!

Jennie Pearse: I'm so sorry you're in this situation. It's devastating for everyone involved.
Selina /admin - Looking at the replies and the stories here this is something that has been requested/required for some time now.

Jennie Pearse: I have a 'test' parent account that we use when troubleshooting, and when we need to get rid of inactive accounts we link them into the test parent instead and delink the actual parent. You can't remove the enrolment form and some identifying details, however for your particular circumstance it would at least remove the name and reminder for that family.

Lara Douglas: We do the same with a test account.

Our Centre would really benefit from this addition to Xplor, we often have parents complete the enrolment link numerous times if they have with er not communicated with each other regarding the completion of this for their child, or sometimes if there is a glitch they will submit again leaving us with multiple enrolments for the same child. This makes things confusing down the track. To be able to remove errors or old families would generate more space and save confusion on enrolments.

Deleting children's profiles
K
Kim Maberly
There needs to be the ability to delete children's profiles that are either duplicated (parent completing waitlist multiple times) or a Child that has asked to be removed from our waitlist that has never commenced care.
I was advised today that this cant be done due to government requirements but this doesn't even meet our requirements.
We are not required to keep documentation of children that we have not provided care to so I'm not sure why this system is requiring us to.
