Booking notifications

When a parent requests an additional booking and we accept the notification if we have space, parents are missing checking their notifications or not getting notified at all that their child has been accepted and then making other arrangements. Perhaps a text message could be sent to the parents confirming their extra day?

Booking Notification SMS reminders can be turned on in Office via the Comms Centre. Families will always also get a Home App notification.

An email notification for booking requests and a pop up notification for phone app would be amazing so we can action last minute booking requests and know as soon as they are received

Notification if parent's request a booking

Currently, all parents are given the opportunity to make booking requests through the app. Administrative staff may not always be logged in to the master roll to see any last minute requests. Parents assume that they have made a booking although the service has not approved it or received a notification of their booking.
Previously it was discussed with Xplor support if it was possible to turn this function off, which it was not. Our feedback for this is that if parents are always able to make a booking request that administrative educators receive an email notification of the request.
The orange bell at the top is not effective when managing six services because unless you select that specific service to make a booking change the orange bell will not be lit while logged into Xplor.
For example, one Manager may log in to change a booking for Shazoosh service three times in a week but no castle hill families ask to make any changes and therefore that service profile is not checked. At the moment staff need to manually select each service to check if there is any notifications twice a day “just in case”
Other suggestions instead of an email notification include the orange bell being lit when there is a request for any service in the organisation regardless of which master roll the staff member is currently editing, or for the requests to pop up as the first thing when an educator logs into their office account.
If the email option was added, it would be best if we could set up in settings that any booking request notifications for the particular service are forwarded to the Nominated Supervisor’s email address when it comes through.

Yes, this would be extremely beneficial during Vacation Care booking time. As we receive up to 200 notifications at a time. It would be great to filter out before/after school requests vs vacation care requests. I agree that the easiest way would be to sort the notifications by the date of request.

To add to this, the ability to respond to the parent from the notification or booking request. Whether it be adding a message box so we can communicate with the parent to know we have received it or a tick box to say request received not approved or approved etc.
