In the past, a parent was not notified if they were removed as a parent on a child's account. The removed parent is now notified when they are removed that this has occurred.
We need the option to have no notification sent to a parent when they are removed as this poses a child safety and domestic violence concern in certain circumstances.
Another option is to have available a ‘must not collect’ profile that can be used in circumstances where a DVO or similar is in place to quickly highlight that the specifically named person must not collect the child.
We often have families who simply forgot to notify us of an unauthorised contact coming to collect their child, in which case we of course follow up on the spot with the family; however, if that person was clearly labelled as ‘Must not collect’ then we would be able to more quickly enact child protection strategies.
