To reduce administrative effort and follow‑up workload for services, parents and guardians should receive notifications in the Home App when their child’s medical documentation (e.g. allergies, action plans, medical certificates) is approaching expiry.
Currently, alerts are handled primarily by services, which creates avoidable manual follow‑up and delays in obtaining updated documentation. Notifying parents directly would:
  • Prompt timely renewal and resubmission of documents
  • Reduce admin time spent chasing expiring certificates
  • Improve compliance and data accuracy
  • Support shared responsibility between services and families
This would build on and complement the earlier feature request allowing parents to access documentation and tables in the Home App:
