It seems that if parents are signing in using the QR code on their Home App, it will not allow them to sign in without a booking. However, if a parent uses the HUB logging in with their mobile + pin, it will create a new booking automatically, even if they aren't already scheduled in.
This is an issue for us as allowing a new booking to be created can push us over-ratio. With children all being on a different schedules, it is also difficult for an educator to realise that a child who is in attendance is not meant to be there, until it's too late!
It would be great if there was a warning that also popped up, when parents/guardians signed in using the HUB (just like the Home App). OR if there was some sort of warning on the Playground app to notify the educators that a child has been signed in a non-booking day. OR if it required an authorisation for a staff member.

We would definitely appreciate this feature being added. I think all services would appreciate parents NOT being able to Sign children in if there is no booking. This makes ratios and walk ins a real concern if additional children are added to the roll without immediate knowledge of the staff. (Eg - If a parent assumes they are booked in and does not notify staff members)
AR
OSHC!: It looks like the new Home app respects this. If you have Booking Rules it allows you to choose a room. If you have no booking rules it tells you to speak to the Centre Admin.
Not sure though if the HUB respects this.

Will - Xplor: Timeframe, details, beta experience, user feedback?
OSHC FNPS
Will - Xplor: A way for a late fee to incur if it were past a certain time would be great
AR
OSHC FNPS: I like the automatic late fee! make a separate feature request if there isn't one already, and I'll upvote it :)
OSHC FNPS
AR: done.

Also, adding a feature that would not allow a parent to sign in if the room is fully booked
Gan Gabi Admin
Fiona Parker: This is already in place for mobile bookings. Mobile bookings cannot be made if the amount of bookings for that day reaches the limit set for that room, under Xplor Office>Settings>Room Settings>Capacity.

Fiona Parker
Gan Gabi Admin: Parents are still able to sign in using the hub
Gan Gabi Admin
Fiona Parker: That would be a casual booking, not a mobile booking. I'm surprised that casual booking aren't limited to room capacity, as mobile bookings are.

This is also an issue for us as we are unable to staff correctly for children who "walk in" and can be signed in regardless of if they have a booking. Our previous admin system would not allow children to be signed in if they were not booked.
AR
Alicia Nitschke: Agreed. It should be the Services choice whether to allow walk-ins or not. This affects our ratios.

I thought this could be fixed with the rules thing they brought in a few months ago, may pay to check that out more

We want to be able to have a choice whether our Service allows walk in Casuals or not
