You need an option to create a private chat to parents either as a group or individually. This would be used for many different things - reminders, questions, etc.

This would be so amazing. Currently we have to send messages using Posts (which clogs up the system when you’re trying to manage programming) or ring the parents which is overkill.

Private messaging would make it easier to send reminders (“more nappies please” or “Jane has soiled clothes to collect”) or just update parents on their child’s day (Jane settled in really fast and ate lots of lunch).

I'm sorry that you weren't informed about voting on issues in Canny. We will strive to do better with getting information like that out.

Selina: We would love families to be able to private message staff members about children in their room. Currently all messages are viewed by all staff and certain staff are not alerted when there is a message. Once someone opens the message the notification goes and staff are not knowing when there is a message waiting for them.
