Removal of a contact

I would like to provide feedback regarding the process that occurs when a service removes a contact from a child's profile at the request of a parent or guardian.
It has come to my attention that when a contact is removed, the contact themselves also receives notification that they have been removed. I have concerns about this practice and believe it may create unnecessary difficulties for families.
In many circumstances, a parent may request the removal of a contact due to sensitive family, legal, or personal matters. Automatically notifying the removed contact could potentially cause significant conflict, distress, or upheaval outside of the service, placing families and, in some cases, children in difficult situations.
I believe it would be more appropriate for only the parent or authorised person making the request to receive confirmation that the change has been completed. The service should be able to action the parent's request without generating a notification to the individual who has been removed.
I would appreciate it if Xplor could review this process and consider whether the notification to the removed contact is necessary, particularly given the potential risks and unintended consequences it may create for families.
