We have our cancellations settings set up and the function is working beautifully. Cancellations made inside the timeframe we've set are automatically marked absent and ones made with enough notice are completely removed. Unfortunately these same timeframes don't apply to the 'absence' function and so when parents use this, their bookings are just marked absent and are not removed if enough notice is given. Considering the cancellation feature does the exact same thing as the 'absent' feature, it's just more functional and adaptable to each Centre's policies, can the Absent feature just be removed completely please or an option given to disable it? We are looking at turning the instant absent feature off so that we can make sure bookings are removed if needed but obviously this presents its own issues (the reason why the instant absent feature was created :) )
